MESSAGE FROM THE IoDZ PRESIDENT ON THE OCCASION OF THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY
On 7th April, 2000, the Institute of Directors of Zambia (IoDZ) was launched. The IoDZ came into being as a product of a broad based stakeholder workshop which was convened by the Zambian Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, in June 1998. The Workshop was supported by the Commonwealth Association of Corporate Governance; the Institute of Directors of New Zealand; The Institute of Directors of Southern Africa and the Institute of Directors of Zimbabwe. The most significant outcome of that groundbreaking international Workshop was the formation of a Taskforce which was mandated to spearhead the formation of an IoD in Zambia.
