On 12th May, 2025, the Institute of Directors of Zambia (IoDZ) celebrated 25 years of advancing corporate governance with a commemorative Directors’ Breakfast held in Lusaka, bringing together past Presidents, senior executives and members of the business community.
The event served as a tribute to the Institute’s founding leaders and long-serving directors who have shaped the governance landscape in Zambia.
IoDZ President Miriam Chiyaba described the occasion as “a celebration of legacy, leadership, and a shared vision for Zambia’s future,” and urged directors to remain bold and ethically grounded as they navigate an evolving leadership environment.
Established in 2000, IoDZ has become a key voice in promoting boardroom excellence through director development, policy advocacy and ethical leadership.
The breakfast also provided space for meaningful networking and dialogue on emerging governance issues such as sustainability, digital oversight and inclusive leadership.
Looking ahead, the President reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to deepening its national influence and expanding strategic initiatives.
“Here’s to the next 25 years - stronger, bolder and united in purpose,” Mrs Chiyaba concluded.
