On 8th December, 2025, The Institute of Directors of Zambia (IoDZ) made an oral presentation before the Parliamentary Committee on Parastatal Bodies on the State-Owned Enterprises Bill, N.A.B. No. 37 of 2025.
IoDZ was represented by its members Mr. Jetty Lungu and Mr. Boston Simfukwe, together with the Executive Director, Ms. Nchimunya Michelo Silenga.
During the engagement, the team outlined the Institute’s position on the proposed legislation, highlighting key governance considerations and implications for the effective oversight, performance and accountability of State-Owned Enterprises in Zambia.
The presentation reinforced IoDZ’s commitment to promoting strong corporate governance principles across all sectors of the economy.
The Institute will continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support reforms that enhance transparency, efficiency and sustainable management within the public sector.
