The Institute of Directors Zambia (IoDZ) launched its 2024-2028 Strategic Plan during its Annual General Meeting held on 5th July, 2024 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Livingstone.
This plan aims to enhance corporate governance in Zambia over the next five years.
The strategic plan focuses on six key pillars:
1. Advocacy and Legal Framework: Strengthening the regulatory environment for better governance.
2. Membership Growth and Diversity: Expanding and diversifying IoDZ’s membership base.
3. Education and Capacity Building: Providing top-tier governance training.
4. Research and Thought Leadership: Promoting research to shape future governance.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships: Strengthening relationships to amplify IoDZ’s impact.
6. Organisational Sustainability: Ensuring long-term viability through strategic initiatives.
Each pillar includes specific objectives and targets, with regular performance reviews to ensure progress and accountability. These reviews, along with improvement plans, will be published in the Annual Performance Plan and presented in the Institute's Annual Report.
"The IoDZ 2024 Strategic Plan represents our commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability in governance," said the IoDZ Executive Director, Ms. Nchimunya Michelo Silenga.
"It will guide us in driving economic growth, fostering investor confidence, and enhancing stakeholder value," Ms. Silenga added.
The plan is flexible, allowing adjustments by the Board of Governors as needed. This ensures IoDZ remains agile and responsive to changing conditions.
As IoDZ embarks on this new strategic journey, it reaffirms its dedication to promoting high standards of governance for Zambia's sustainable development and prosperity.
